Description:

I am originally from Asheville, NC. but I have lived in Colorado for the last 5 years. I have been guiding professionally since 2012. I wore out my boots guiding friends before that.My fishing expereince is mainly in Colorado but have fished a little in Western NC and TN. I love fishing from a boat and watching big browns crush streamers. If I could would love to go to Patagonia and Chile to search for monster trout. My Hobbies include Fishing, Skiing, Rafting. If I can do it outside thats where you will usually find me.My favorite thing about guiding so far is getting to help people learn and enjoy catching fish on a fly rod.

Description:

Andy is from originally from Littleton, Colorado and has been guiding professionally since 2007 on the Eagle, Colorado and Roaring Fork Rivers. I love the Cheech Leach. He started fly fishing with his dad on the South Platte river outside Denver when he was 7 years old. He has been chasing trout all over the rocky mountain west ever since. Andy cannot wait for an opportunity to travel to Patagonia to catch brown trout and explore the Andes Mountains. Skiing is Andy’s other passion and he spends his winters in Alta, Utah working, and skiing the greatest snow on earth. His favorite thing about guiding is working through the learning process with each individual client. “Everyone learns a different way and watching everything ‘click’ is what makes my job rewarding.”

DescriptionAndy is from Montgomery Village, MD and has been guiding since summer of 2017. He has spent 26 years fly fishing and an exotic experience he remembers is catching all 5 species of pacific salmon on the fly in Alaska. His desired trips are New Zealand, Patagonia, and Russia. When he’s not on the river, Andy spends his time hunting, camping, skiing and snowboarding. For him the best part about guiding is watching new anglers progress and learn.

Description:

I am a 6th generation Colorado native, I grew up on the south western slope in Ridgway, CO. I’ve been professionally guiding since 2015, and have successfully taught many friends and family over the years. I have been fishing since I was old enough to hold a rod. I have been fly fishing for 6 years, all in Colorado. I fish all over the State and spent hundreds of hours on rivers such as the Eagle, Colorado, South Platte, Big Thompson, Rocky Mountain National Park, Frying Pan, Roaring Fork, Uncompahgre. I have also enjoyed countless small creeks and high mountain lakes. I particularly enjoy pursuing high mountain brook trout and Colorado Green Cutthroat Trout. I would love to travel to Kamchatka to fish for Artic Char and huge Rainbows. When I’m not fishing I enjoy home brewing beer, fly tying, playing guitar, pencil drawing, camping, kayaking, and exploring our beautiful part of the state. Watching other people smile and get satisfaction from catching a fish on the fly is just as great, if not a greater a reward as doing it myself. I love that about guiding. I also love teaching and being a steward of the resource in such a rewarding way.

Description

I grew up in Connecticut and went to Boston University. I have been living in the Vail Valley for the last 5 years. I’ve been guiding Since 2014. I grew up fishing for stripers in Long Island Sound and Cape Cod. I have dedicated the last decade to fishing for trout but still love going for smallmouth bass and stripers in the off season. I also spent 7 months fishing in South America and chased sea run brown trout in Tierra Del Fuego and red-bellied piranha in the Bolivian Amazon. I’d still love to fish in Belize or New Zealand. My hobbies include Snowboarding, mountain biking and backcountry hiking. The best part of guiding is watching someone progress and learn something new. Whether it is a first timer who learns how to mend or a seasoned fisherman who finally masters a difficult technique they have been trying at for years.

Description:

I am originally from Atlanta GA and I started guiding in the summer of 2016. I have been fly fishing for 23 years and have 20 years fly tying experience  My best fishing experiences include 100 sailfish releases in Guatemala with 2 on fly, stand up for yellowfin tuna in the Virgin islands, chasing redfish in the marshes and flats of Georgia and Florida, as well as other experience. My hobbies incldue fishing, fly tying, surfing, snowboarding, boxing and boating. The best part about guiding has to be seeing a new angler’s reaction when he or she lands their first fish on fly. Nothing beats that.

Description:  I’ve been guiding Locally since 1984. Eagle River, Colorado River, Roaring Fork River. Growing up on Rural Cape Cod I spent the 1970’s on our closest trout fishery, Scargo Lake. In 1983 I moved to Vail and have since traveled throughout the Western U.S. enjoying many different experiences.

My “Wish List”  would be Mongolia. Species: “Taimen- world’s largest Salmonoid (up tp 200 lbs- average 28″-30″). Also Amur and Lenok Trout (18″-22”). My Hobbies are Hunting, collecting antique duck/goose decoys, numismatics, and developing wildlife habitat in an agricultural setting (Kansas).
